Glass

Blown Glass

Some of our lighting collections (such as Point and AB) are made with glassblowing techniques.

Molten glass is inflated into a bubble with the aid of a blowpipe. It is then manipulated into the required form by swinging, rolling, shaping with tools, or using a mould.

Because of the handmade nature, each piece may vary slightly in colour with small inconsistencies in the glass.

Frosted Glass

Some of our lighting collections are available in a frosted finish. This is obtained by acid etching or sandblasting where a pitted surface is created on one side of the glass.

Because of the handmade nature, each piece may vary slightly in colour with small inconsistencies in the glass.

Caring for Glass

For regular cleaning and general dust, carefully wipe down with a clean, dry, and lint-free cloth. For spaces with damp or greasy conditions (such as kitchens), use a damp, lint-free cloth.

Wipe the glass completely to avoid water spots. Alternatively, dry with a hair dryer used at a cold, high speed. We do not recommend using solvents to clean glass. Handle with gloves to avoid fingerprints.

Detailed cleaning instructions for our AB lighting range can be found here. Instructions for our Point range are here.
